How long have you been practicing yoga? 3 plus years practice at BYS plus another year or two on and off in different styles.
Current happy pose? My happy pose right now is the forearm balance. As I'm getting more comfortable on my forearms, I am starting to be able to explore variations.
Current nemesis pose? My nemesis is the easy pigeon, how embarrassing! My lower back just refuses to be flexible, it will be a long road opening up.
What is your favorite food? depends on the day....hopefully whatever I am eating!
Why do you teach yoga? I teach yoga to try to share with others the wonderful life-enhancing practices that have been shared with me.
Elvis Presley or Frank Sinatra? Zappa!
One thing you do every day? I drink mate every day.
Good book recommendation? Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy, Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman ain't bad either.
Brown Rice or Quinoa? Brown rice, but I like this Quinoa thing... ask me again in a year.
What is your favorite bad habit? Politics
What is your best asana tip? Breath steady and be aware of what you are doing, as you are doing it. Bring all your concentration to the pose, whatever it is.
What is your favorite yama/niyama? Ahimsa? Non-Violence... very difficult to attain but supremely important.
