About Ananda Rasa Kirtan
Ananda Rasa Kirtan is led by singer and multi-instrumentalist David Estes who is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. David grew up in India and spent several years immersed in the practices of kirtan, sanskrit text chanting, meditation and seva as a full time ashram resident. Ananda rasa kirtan is rooted in traditional Sanskrit chants sung to original melodies in Indian raga scales and exploring the ecstatic and mystical elements of kirtan in call and response chanting with the audience. Additional musical influences include Sufi Qawwali and roots reggae.
About Jennifer Mazzucco
Jennifer Mazzucco is a devotional artist and bhakta with a deep love and respect for India. Currently, she is nestled amongst the redwoods and close to the coast of Northern CA. With her first 4 decades spent in NJ, MA, & CT she has earned a bi-coastal heart. All of her experience as a freelance illustrator, working at non-profit centers, and teaching middle school art have fostered a desire to create community + facilitate creativity. Prasada Bhakti Center, her latest life project, is a former kindergarten classroom she transformed into a home/studio where she hosts art workshops, kirtan, meditation, yoga & more.
