REAL HAPPINESS MEDITATION CHALLENGE
During the month of February, BYS is taking part in Sharon Salzberg's 28-Day Mediation Challenge. This is the third year that we have be a part of the challenge and this year our team is the largest to date with over 40 members (both teachers and students from the BYS Community). The challenge follows the 28-day meditation plan outlined is Sharon's book "Real Happiness" with elements also from "Real Happiness At Work". The challenge is perfect for anyone, whether you are a longtime practitioner looking to refresh your home practice or an absolute beginner trying meditation for the first time. Each week of the month focuses on a different meditation technique as a different doorway into your home practice. The practice outline for the month is:
Week 1: Concentration
Week 2: Mindfulness
Week 3: Lovingkindness & Compassion
Week 4: Bringing the Practice to Our Lives

This year there are over 1000 people have committed to sit everyday from all over the US-- as well as blogging about their experiences online. WEEKLY SUNDAY SITS HOSTED BY BYS
This year BYS is hosting weekly sits on each Sunday evening in February as part of the challenge. Each gathering includes a 20 minuted guided meditation based on the focus for that particular week, followed by open time to check-in, ask questions and share. Please note that the we recommend registering ahead of time for the Launch Party, as this event is open to the public and will fill up. See below for details. For the rest of the gatherings in the month, there is no per-registration, simply drop-in to attend.

Note: Doors open for all gatherings at 5:30p. Some blankets and blocks are available for sitting, but you are welcome to bring your own if you like.
